The Big Blue Hotel - Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Have stayed numerous times, and have always enjoyed this hotel and will return again. The staff are always smartly dressed, which makes a huge difference aware of their roles and happy to help. Facilities always clean, the reception is inviting and the breakfast is brilliant.

The Big Blue Hotel is our go to hotel in Blackpool. We have stayed on numerous occasions. The service is excellent and the facilities are good. The rooms are well appointed in this price bracket. We stayed in a superior room 417, which was large and had views over the pleasure beach, although we choose to stay usually in winter when the park is closed. The breakfast is buffet style and has all the usual content, presented well and plentiful. We did not use the restaurant on this occasion.

We return every year, to this hotel, it is always a very clean environment. With helpful staff, some more knowledgeable about the local area / local activities than us, but able to point us in the right direction if needed. The room service staff was polite when passing and lovely. Happy to help and top up what was needed even if you didn’t require a full room service. There was card offering £5 off your bill if you didnt require room service, however this was not explained at check in just something we found in the room, not sure fully how that works, but a great incentive had we of known (as we never use it). The hotel was very busy with the Strictly Stars & fans on the Friday night which they dealt with impeccably considering the fans. Our room was spotless, and we had a great view into the pleasure beach (our favourite part of the hotel). Highly recommend Waff-la Burg for a sweet treat located near the hotel!!

Beautiful Hotel, Decoration around Hotel was gorgeous, Cosy Rooms, Beds were comfortable and Big in size. Rooms were equipped with everything you needed for eg: Toiletries, Tea & Coffee Facilities and extra Super Comfortable Pillows.

Complimentary room upgrade was much appreciated and the hotel layout and staff attitude was very good. The bar area well set out with the outside patio tables in the sunshine a nice bonus and the bar and restaurant staff very friendly and quick. The hotel's proximity to the promenade, beach and south pier a major plus of course. Bed was very comfortable but shower could do with a grab handle to avoid slipping when getting in and out of the bath to access the excellent power shower ... not as agile as I used to be! Secure ANPR car park very handy and not too expensive at £18 for 24hrs. Look forward to staying again :) !
